About the Event
Come and immerse yourself in the exotic & vibrant flavours of Middle Eastern cuisine coupled with the fresh abundance of whole plant foods. Learn to create delicious but deceptively simple dishes such as a rich and fragrant Eggplant & Chickpea Tagine, sumptuous Saffron Pilav with Almonds & Dates, Pumpkin Felafel with an Orange Tahnini Sauce, Walnut & Pomegranate Tabbouleh and a Moroccan Carrot Salad, finishing with a dreamy Orange Blossom Muhallabia with Sticky Figs. All whole food, plant based and oil free.
In this small-group, 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn several simple but elegant recipes that will be easy to integrate into every day life. The class will be primarly demonstrated recipes with some opportunity for hands-on participation, which will leave you confident about recreating them at home.
As we cook, we’ll have the opportunity to chat about food choices including seasonal ingredients, the healing properties of oil-free, whole, plant based foods and explore the current fad diets and food trends.
You’ll learn some food styling tips & tricks to allow you make your culinary creations sparkle, and be provided with a comprehensive recipe booklet to take home.
The workshop will culminate in a sit down feast with the presenters, so we can savour our meal together, and talk all things health, wellness and deliciousness as we eat.
As this is a small group event, places are strictly limited. Ages 15+
